Available at dealerships starting in June, the Nera completes the Hypermotard single-cylinder lineup
A total black livery, DQS and homologated Termignoni silencers enhance both the aesthetics and dynamics of Ducati's street motard
The Hypermotard 698 Mono combines motard styling with unmistakably Ducati design, powered by the 77.5 hp Superquadro Mono engine capable of revving up to 10,250 rpm
The Hypermotard range expands with the arrival of the new 698 Mono Nera, completing Ducati's family of single-cylinder street bikes. Featuring an eye-catching total black livery and an extensive technical specification, the Nera is now even more attractive and exciting to ride.
The Nera livery, with its combination of black and red, gives the 698 Mono a modern, high-performance look. Black dominates the design, creating a bold and aggressive appearance while serving as the perfect backdrop for striking red accents. Ducati Red wheels and frame reinforce the overall theme of power and performance. The homologated Termignoni steel silencers add a bold and gritty appearance.* Their design enhances the motorcycle's sporty character and elevates the visual impact of the rear section, thanks to the black finish with red details that perfectly match the livery. The Hypermotard 698 Mono Nera also comes standard with Ducati Quick Shift.
The Hypermotard 698 Mono was created with one objective only: to deliver excitement through the corners, on the racetrack and even in urban environments, applying Panigale-derived technical solutions for the engine, electronics and chassis to a completely new Ducati segment. Its Superquadro Mono engine is the most sophisticated and highest-performing road-going single-cylinder engine ever built, derived from the twin-cylinder engine of the 1299 Panigale. It inherits the 116 mm bore piston, combustion chamber, titanium intake valves, steel exhaust valves and Desmodromic valve timing—the same solution Ducati uses in MotoGP. The engine delivers a maximum power output of 77.5 hp and a peak engine speed of 10,250 rpm, a benchmark figure for the category.
The Hypermotard 698 Mono is compact and lightweight, weighing 151 kg ready to ride without fuel. This result is achieved through solutions such as the trellis frame with variable sections and thicknesses, capable of combining strength, rigidity and lightness, along with cast wheels and brake discs featuring aluminium flanges. The lightweight and essential double-sided swingarm operates through a progressive linkage connected to a fully adjustable rear shock absorber.
Its electronics package, unmatched in the category, allows even less experienced riders to learn Supermotard-style riding techniques, supported by ABS Cornering featuring settings specifically developed to manage “sideways riding” on track through the Slide-by-brake function. The electronics suite is completed by many of the systems found on the Panigale V4, specifically developed for this motorcycle: Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Wheelie Control, Engine Brake Control, Ducati Power Launch, and Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) Up/Down.
Ducati Wheelie Control also includes dedicated track-focused functions: in its standard version, the lowest setting allows controlled and safe front-wheel lift, maximizing both performance and fun. By fitting the racing Termignoni exhaust, intended for track use only and offering a 7-horsepower increase, an additional assistance strategy called Wheelie Assist is activated. In this case, the electronics help the rider execute and maintain prolonged wheelies by regulating the angle through engine torque delivery.
Every enthusiast can personalize their Hypermotard 698 Mono Nera with Ducati Performance accessories: from billet-machined components to an aluminium license plate holder, as well as racing seats and footpegs. All accessories, made with high-quality components, can be viewed in the “Configurator” section on Ducati.com, alongside a wide range of helmets, jackets and pants—everything needed to satisfy every enthusiast's needs and ride safely and stylishly.
The Hypermotard 698 Mono Nera will be available from the beginning of June 2026 starting from £11,995.
